The former named Hualien Engineering Office of Water Conservancy Bureau, Department of Reconstruction, Taiwan Province, established in April 1947, was organized as four sections – construction, materials, general affairs, and accounting, supervised by a director. In March 1957, it was reorganized and renamed as the Ninth Engineering Department of Taiwan Water Conservancy Bureau. In May 11th, 1981 Taiwan Provincial Government issued an order No. 29605 as “Organization Regulations of the Ninth Engineering Department of Taiwan Water Conservancy Bureau.” A letter No. 174585 issued by Taiwan Provincial Government in December 18th, 1997 reorganized as “the Taiwan Ninth River Basin Bureau.” It was headed by a director, a deputy director. The bureau was instituted with four sections, two offices and personnel office to handle water conservancy and administrative affairs. Depending on the true need, it can establish construction offices and survey parties any time. The authorized personnel have 82 employees, including 58 office workers, 15 technicians, 3 drivers, and 6 janitors. In July 1999, it was approved to rename as the Ninth River Management Bureau of Water Resources Department MOEA, By organization regulations set in March 28th, 2002, the organization of the bureau is instituted with four sections and three offices. The four sections include Construction, Management, Planning, and Equipment. The three offices include Accounting, Administration, and Personnel. In addition, construction subdivisions, Laboratories and Information, subdivisions are installed Depending on various task and project needs. |
