The 9th River Management Office of the Water Resources Agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Taiwan Hualien District Prosecutors Office have established a platform for clean governance exchange to work together to protect the Hualien river basin and coastal environment. In order to further cooperate with each other to give full play to the power of corruption prevention and to strengthen the platform of clean and competent communication, today (31st), the 9th River Management Office's Commissioner, Ming-Chang Hsieh led his supervisors to visit Hualien District Prosecutors Office's prosecutor-general, He-Hsien Chung, to exchange views on the clean governance and transparency of river engineering, sand and gravel dredging, planting management and environmental maintenance and management of rivers such as tribute to the sea, to further enhance the clean governance and transparency of river management and management through cross-area cooperation.
 
9th River Management Office's commissioner, Ming-Chang Hsieh, said that 9th River Management Office always goes to the countryside every year to serve the farmers who apply for river planting and conduct promotions of clean governance and transparency, and this year, the Prosecutor's Office was invited to participate. Prosecutor-general He-Hsien Chung agreed with the exchange between the executive and judicial government agencies and acknowledged the results of the 9th River Management Office's clean and transparent measures in organizing construction and dredging cases, which can serve as a model for other agencies to follow. At the same time, he also stressed that the District Prosecutor's Office will provide full assistance in the areas of rule of law education, seminars and law enforcement. It is hoped that through the exchange with the clean governance platform, both parties will have a better understanding of the principles of clean governance, transparency and fraud prevention so that work can be promoted more smoothly. 
 
Commissioner Hsieh thanked the Prosecutor's Office for its support and assistance. The Mugua River Chuying No.1 and Huarong Embankment Environmental Improvement Project, which won the Public Construction Golden Quality Award last year and the Hualien River's Wuchuan Embankment dredging and soil and rock collecting and selling separation project will be entered into the Water Resources Agency's third annual Engineering Administrative Transparency Award. During the meeting, Commissioner Hsieh also explained the improvement of river management projects, dredging and introduction of technology management, as well as the completion of inter-agency liaison and preparation work before the flood season, and shared the results of the "Mafo River Ecological Corridor and Homeland Green Network Tie-in" project of the Hualien Chiayi Forest District Office of the Forestry Bureau and the successful restoration of Bie River, which won the Honorable Mention of the Environmental Planning and Design Class of Taiwan Landscape Award. It allowed the prosecutors to understand the 9th River Management Office's persistence and dedication to the sustainable development of the river environment, in addition to its efforts in dredging and flood control.
